Exploring a not-so-happy world
I'm giving this three stars mostly because the content is a little slight -- it's a compendium of 5-minute excerpts from several NG Explorer specials over the years, and each piece feels a little superficial and rushed as a result. The best segment is the longer one at the end about the team that walked through the rainforest of West Africa for 15 months.
Given the lack of product information, though, it might be helpful to spell out that this is NOT for young children. Your mileage may vary, but after one play-through my wife and I have agreed to "lose" this disc until our child turns 12. Things you will learn from segments included in this disc:
--During the Soviet occupation of Afghanistan, 10-year-old children served in the mujahideen and killed Russians with pistols, grenades, and machine guns.
